Dubai has launched its impressive 10th edition of the Retail Calendar, detailing a thrilling array of events for 2026 that includes festivals, major sales, and cultural displays. This new agenda underscores Dubai's status as a premier shopping, entertainment, and tourism hub, with 18 key events scheduled throughout the year.
The announcement follows a record-setting 2025, highlighted by a remarkable Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) that featured over AED 50 million in prizes awarded through nearly 300 raffles and a Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) season that saw a 110% increase in average spending according to surveys by DFRE. With participation expected from more than 1,000 brands and 4,000 outlets, the forthcoming year is set to attract even higher visitor engagement.
The 2026 calendar kicks off with DSF, running from 5 December 2025 to 11 January 2026. Now celebrating its 31st edition, this festival promises exclusive offers, international brand launches, live concerts, and an enhanced drone show featuring over 1,000 drones. Beloved events like e& MOTB and DSF x Hatta will also return, expanding festivities from urban locations to nature-oriented venues.
February will introduce Dubai's lively celebration of Chinese New Year, followed by the Spring/Summer segment of Dubai Fashion Season, providing early access to new collections from both local and global designers. From mid-February to March, the city will celebrate Ramadan and Eid through night markets, cultural activities, and family-friendly promotions.
Digital shoppers can look forward to the Great Online Sale, a three-day event featuring discounts of up to 95% across various categories, while May will host the burgeoning Dubai Esports and Games Festival. The previous year attracted 45,000 attendees and 3.8 million online participants, and the 2026 edition aims to elevate those figures with extensive tournaments, cosplay events, and opportunities for networking.
Following Eid Al Adha, Dubai will present cultural exhibitions and retail promotions, leading into the citywide 3-Day Super Sales held biannually. The summer months will be highlighted by Dubai Summer Surprises from 3 July to 30 August, including Modesh World, grand raffles, Back-to-School offers, and an innovative Great Dubai Summer Sale aimed at maximizing shopping value during the holiday season.
The autumn lineup features the Dubai Home Festival from 16 October to 1 November, providing great deals on home decor and innovations. Soon after, Diwali will bring illuminated celebrations, fireworks, and a surge in demand for gold and festive attire.
Dubai will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Dubai Fitness Challenge from 31 October to 29 November, encouraging an active lifestyle through runs, rides, and complimentary fitness classes across parks, malls, and beaches. The year will culminate in UAE National Day festivities from 30 November to 3 December, showcasing fireworks, patriotic displays, and retail promotions tied to the holiday.
With its detailed approach and variety of events, the 2026 Retail Calendar acts as a key resource for shoppers, businesses, and curious visitors looking to plan their year. Retailers can tailor their offerings to coincide with official events and sign up via DET Connect for inclusion in promotions, raffles, and citywide marketing initiatives.
The latest edition marks a decade of growth for the Retail Calendar since its launch in 2017, enhancing the emirate’s establishment as a global retail and lifestyle center and paving the way for another year rich in consumer engagement across various sectors.
