India is set to make its first-ever business jet, the Falcon 2000, in Nagpur. This is happening because a French company, Dassault Aviation, and an Indian company, Reliance Aerostructure, are teaming up. They announced this big partnership at a famous air show in Paris.
For the first time, Dassault will build its Falcon 2000 jets outside France. The new jets will be made at a special factory in Nagpur, and the first one should be finished by 2028. This move will help India join a small group of countries—like the US, France, Canada, and Brazil—that can make advanced business jets.
The new jets will be used in India and also sold to other countries. The factory will also make parts for other Falcon jets, like the Falcon 6X and 8X. This project will create many jobs for engineers and technicians in India.
This partnership is a big step toward India’s dream to become a major place for making airplanes for the world. It also supports the government’s “Make in India” plan, which wants more things to be made in the country. Over the next few years, hundreds of people will be hired to work in the factory, helping India become a key player in the global airplane industry.
