London — British singer Peter Andre says his family is his “biggest achievement,” despite a music career that has spanned more than three decades. The 53‑year‑old pop star, who first rose to fame in the late 1990s with the hit Mysterious Girl, made the comments while discussing his personal life and current UK tour.
Andre told reporters and fans that although he has had chart success and a long entertainment career, nothing compares to the joy of raising his children. He shared that family life has taken precedence over professional milestones in recent years, and that his three children with wife Emily MacDonagh, a medical doctor, are his top priority. The couple married in 2015 and keep a relatively private family life in Surrey.
The singer, who shot to international fame with tracks such as Mysterious Girl and Flava, also joked about fans’ occasional confusion over his biggest hit, noting that some still mistakenly cite Madonna’s Material Girl — a song he does not perform. Mysterious Girl remains his signature song and has endured in public memory.
Andre is currently touring the UK with a show paying tribute to American music legend Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, performing classic hits like “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” The tour is scheduled to visit venues across Sussex and Kent throughout March.
In addition to his music career, Andre has appeared on popular British television shows, including Strictly Come Dancing and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. He was previously married to Katie Price, with whom he shares two children; the couple divorced in 2009. Andre later remarried MacDonagh, and the blended family now includes five children.
Reflecting on balancing his career and family, Andre said, “Everything is worked out and balanced around them... Being a parent is the best part of it all.”
