Kenyan President Condemns Iranian Attacks Backs UAE’s Security Measures

Post by : Shakul

ABU DHABI, 2 March 2026: Kenya’s President Dr. William Samoei Ruto condemned the recent Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates and underscored Kenya’s support for the UAE’s security efforts during a phone call with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

The call, which took place amid a wider regional escalation involving Iranian missile and drone strikes on Gulf countries, saw President Ruto express strong solidarity with the UAE. He affirmed Kenya’s backing for “all measures the UAE takes to safeguard its security, stability and the safety of its citizens.”

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation to President Ruto for Kenya’s supportive stance, noting the importance of cooperation and mutual respect among nations facing shared security challenges. The leaders also reviewed the evolving situation in the region, highlighting concerns over ongoing tensions and their potential impact.

Both leaders emphasised the importance of prioritising dialogue and diplomatic solutions to preserve regional security and to avoid further escalation of conflict, a sentiment echoed by other world leaders in similar discussions with the UAE President.

The phone call reflects growing international concern over the series of Iranian attacks that have targeted the UAE and neighboring countries, prompting diplomatic outreach from leaders around the world urging restraint and peaceful engagement.
