Discover 4 New Interactive Children’s Books at Zayed National Museum

Discover 4 New Interactive Children’s Books at Zayed National Museum

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Zayed National Museum, representing the United Arab Emirates' cultural heritage, has launched a set of four interactive children's books in both English and Arabic aimed at fostering education about the nation's rich history and environment.

Each book draws inspiration from the UAE’s cultural traditions and natural beauty. Featuring engaging touch-and-feel elements, pop-up illustrations, and animation-based activities, these books promise an exciting learning adventure for young readers, encouraging a deeper understanding of the country's identity.

The first title, Qudwati – Under the Desert Sky, immerses children in the desert landscapes that shaped the principles of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Through captivating narratives and visuals, it teaches lessons of resilience, curiosity, and appreciation for nature. The Arabic edition has been co-developed with the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre.

Another intriguing addition, Kitabu – Step Inside, Listen Closely, is a pop-up book that invites children to explore the museum’s diverse galleries, architectural marvels, and collections. It sparks imagination while bringing the history and culture of the UAE to life.

What’s This? – Animals of the United Arab Emirates is tailored for younger audiences, offering a sensory experience that introduces native wildlife while fostering curiosity about nature.

The final book, Our Life by the Sea, serves as an interactive coloring book designed in collaboration with Éditions Animées. It emphasizes the sea's vital role in Emirati culture, enabling children to color illustrations that can be animated using the BlinkBook app.

These titles are part of a broader publishing initiative by the museum, which also includes previous works like Magan Rediscovered: The Building of a Bronze Age Boat That Sailed the Arabian Gulf, showcasing a commitment to supporting education, research, and cultural knowledge.

Available for purchase at Al Nagwa Boutique inside Zayed National Museum, these new releases promise to enrich the learning experience for young Emiratis and residents alike.
