Young Leaders Address AI and Digital Challenges at Warsaw Book Fair

Young Leaders Address AI and Digital Challenges at Warsaw Book Fair

Post by : Badri Ariffin

At the Warsaw International Book Fair 2026, TRENDS Research & Advisory teamed up with the TRENDS Youth Council to present a panel called “Shaping Tomorrow: Youth Voices and Global Impact.”

This session took place at the TRENDS pavilion, uniting young leaders and scholars from Poland and the UAE to discuss pressing global issues and the role of youth in an evolving world.

The discussions covered key topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), social media, digital polarisation, and the challenges young people face in an ever-changing global landscape.

Participants highlighted that AI and digital shifts significantly influence the future and stressed the need for young people to engage deeply with these technologies and acquire the necessary skills for adaptation.

The panel also examined the growing impact of social media on societal conversations. The participants agreed that digital polarisation poses a significant global challenge, affecting communication, information access, and public opinion. They underscored the importance of fostering critical analysis and responsible social media usage.

A significant aspect discussed was the necessity of intercultural dialogue. The speakers declared that in our interconnected age, fostering conversations between cultures is essential for breaking stereotypes and building deeper connections, especially among youth.

The need for youth to be seen as active stakeholders came forth as a vital theme. They should be recognized not only as future leaders but as current influencers who contribute meaningfully to policy-making and solutions for global issues.

By the end of the meeting, there was strong support for promoting partnerships between research entities and youth organizations. TRENDS reiterated its dedication to advancing dialogue, knowledge sharing, and international research collaborations aimed at empowering young generations to tackle global challenges.
