WhatsApp Adds AI, Dual Accounts & More

WhatsApp Adds AI, Dual Accounts & More

Post by : Shakul

WhatsApp has introduced a major update in 2026, adding a range of new features focused on AI integration, account management, and storage control to enhance user experience.

One of the biggest highlights is the introduction of dual accounts on iPhone, allowing users to operate two separate WhatsApp accounts on a single device. This feature, previously available only on Android, enables users to manage personal and work chats without switching devices.

The update also improves cross-platform chat transfer, enabling users to seamlessly move chats, media, and history between Android and iOS devices without relying on cloud backups.

To tackle storage issues, WhatsApp has introduced a new “Manage Storage” tool, allowing users to identify and delete large files directly within chats instead of deleting entire conversations. This gives users better control over device space while preserving important messages.

A major push in this update is toward artificial intelligence features powered by Meta AI. These include:

  • AI-generated reply suggestions to help users respond quickly

  • AI-powered photo editing tools for enhancing images within chats

  • Smart sticker suggestions based on typing context

These tools aim to make conversations faster, smarter, and more interactive.

The rollout is happening gradually, with some features already available and others expected to reach all users in the coming weeks. With these updates, WhatsApp is moving closer to becoming a more intelligent, flexible, and user-friendly communication platform.
