UPSI Cleaner Dies of Sudden Heart Attack

UPSI Cleaner Dies of Sudden Heart Attack

Post by : Shakul

A 53-year-old cleaner working at the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Sports Bowl in Tanjong Malim has died after suffering a sudden heart attack, police confirmed on Tuesday. Authorities stated that there was no evidence of foul play in the incident.

Muallim district police chief Khalid Mohamad said that police received a report through the NG999 emergency system at 1.57am. A team was immediately dispatched to the location, where personnel from the Ministry of Health and the Fire and Rescue Department had already arrived. The victim was found unconscious inside a utility room at the premises.

Medical personnel attempted to revive the man by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for approximately 15 minutes. However, he was pronounced dead at 2.23am. Initial investigations at the scene revealed no signs of injury or criminal activity, and the body was later sent to Slim River Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The autopsy confirmed that the cause of death was sudden cardiac arrest. The case has been officially classified as a sudden death. Police have urged the public to avoid speculation and respect the privacy of the victim’s family. Earlier, UPSI Sports Bowl manager Dzulkarnain Sapian revealed that the victim, Mohd Radzi Ariffin, had complained of a headache before the incident and was later found after his wife went searching for him when he did not return home.
