Dubai, UAE – A new price adjustment is on the horizon as the UAE's fuel price committee has confirmed increases for all petrol and diesel types this December. The rise will impact both daily commuters and businesses.
Super 98 petrol, favored by many drivers, is now set at AED 2.70 per litre, up from AED 2.63 in November. Special 95 petrol will see a price of AED 2.58, rising from AED 2.51, while E-Plus petrol will now be offered at AED 2.51, reflecting a 7 fils increase from last month.
Diesel stands out with the most significant hike, now priced at AED 2.85 per litre, up from AED 2.67. This surge mirrors global oil price trends and local market adjustments, which have also led to heightened transportation and logistics costs for various sectors.
Despite the modest nature of these hikes, the cumulative effect could alter commuting costs and freight prices. Drivers are advised to prepare for these changes, which take effect immediately throughout the UAE.
This decision highlights the government's commitment to maintaining an equilibrium between energy availability, market stability, and affordability for residents while adjusting to international market dynamics.
