MoU Signed to Enhance Women's Empowerment at University of Kalba

MoU Signed to Enhance Women's Empowerment at University of Kalba

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Kalba, oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday with NAMA Women Advancement at the university’s headquarters.

The agreement was formalized by Dr Najwa Al Hosani, Chancellor of the University of Kalba, and Maryam Al Hammadi, Director-General of NAMA Women Advancement.

This MoU establishes a robust framework for collaboration between the two entities in pivotal areas such as scientific research, training, and media communication, emphasizing the shared goal of empowering women.

In research, the institutions will collaborate on publishing studies and conducting surveys focused on women's issues, while facilitating community group engagement and ethical approvals for relevant topics. Furthermore, the university will evaluate research presentations from NAMA at both local and international conferences.

The training and development aspects of the MoU involve creating tailored training content, supplying expert trainers, and accrediting selected programs. They also plan to organize training sessions for female students, develop training plans, conduct field visits, and share their expertise effectively. University faculty members will lend their knowledge to bolster these training activities.

On the media communication front, this partnership will enhance awareness of NAMA's programs among students, faculty, and graduates. Both organizations will interchange media content across their platforms while utilizing available resources for organizing events, activities, and diverse programs.

This collaboration underscores a shared dedication to advancing women's development through education, research, and professional training.
