In a decisive action addressing rising concerns, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has enacted a travel ban for its citizens planning to visit Mali. This decision follows disturbing political and security developments in the West African nation, identified by officials as potential hazards for travelers.
The Ministry has actively urged Emirati nationals currently residing in Mali to return immediately. Citizens are advised to prioritize their safety, arrange for urgent exits, and refrain from any unnecessary travel until the situation stabilizes.
Officials emphasized the importance of adhering to all official travel advisories. Emirati travelers are encouraged to maintain regular contact with the Ministry via its around-the-clock emergency hotline designed for citizens abroad. These measures are aimed at safeguarding nationals as they navigate the changing landscape in Mali.
With unrest increasing in Mali, experts recommend that travelers stay alert, avoid large gatherings, and keep track of updates from local authorities along with the UAE government. The Ministry’s advisory highlights the necessity for vigilance, reinforcing that personal safety must take precedence during this time.
