His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the Emirates Tourism Council’s report detailing the tourism sector's accomplishments for the year 2025.
The document detailed the ongoing expansion of the UAE’s tourism industry, solidifying its status as a premier global travel destination.
According to the findings, the count of guests at hotel establishments throughout the UAE surpassed 32 million in 2025, reflecting a 5.1 percent rise from 2024. Furthermore, hotel earnings showed marked improvement, hitting AED49.21 billion, a 9.7 percent increase compared to the prior year.
The hospitality sector continued to grow, with total hotel rooms reaching 217,000 across over 1,240 establishments nationwide. Hotel occupancy rates averaged 79.5 percent, positioning the UAE among the top-performing tourism markets both regionally and globally.
The report also indicated that total hotel nights reached an impressive 100 million during the year, showcasing robust tourism demand and reliable sector performance.
Moreover, the UAE topped the rankings in the Middle East and North Africa region in the World Economic Forum’s 2024 Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI), including a global ranking of 18th, underscoring its rising standing in the international tourism sphere.
