In a significant gesture, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has honored Elison Milton, the Irish Ambassador to the UAE, with the esteemed First Class Order of Zayed II. This accolade recognizes her dedicated efforts in fostering stronger ties between the UAE and Ireland during her diplomatic service.
The award was ceremonially presented by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar during a meeting at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai.
Al Marar expressed the UAE leadership's deep appreciation for Ambassador Milton's contributions, which extended across various sectors, enhancing cooperation between the two nations. He also wished her the best in her future endeavors.
In her acceptance speech, Ambassador Milton conveyed her heartfelt gratitude for this distinguished recognition, highlighting it as a testament to the strengthening relationship between the UAE and Ireland.
She also extended her thanks to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the prestigious honor while commending the UAE's impressive growth and heightened international stature. Furthermore, she acknowledged the continuous support from UAE government bodies throughout her diplomatic mission.
