During the inaugural Summit of Speakers and Presidents of Parliament of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) held in Budva, Montenegro, high-ranking officials from the UAE and Montenegro convened to bolster their bilateral ties.
Maryam Majid bin Theneya, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) and Chair of the FNC Parliamentary Division at PAM, engaged with Dejan Đurović, who leads the Montenegrin parliamentary delegation to PAM, on the summit's sidelines.
In their discussions, Maryam Majid bin Theneya commended the summit's organisation and the generous hospitality shown by Montenegro's Parliament towards all delegations. She emphasized the UAE-Montenegro relationship's progress and underscored the need for further parliamentary collaboration, especially in the areas of economy and investment.
Both leaders acknowledged the critical importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and securing international waterways.
