The United Arab Emirates has announced a range of new visit visas aimed at specialists, workers, and individuals in special circumstances. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) revealed that the new permits include options for artificial intelligence experts, entertainment and event professionals, as well as cruise and leisure boat workers.
In addition, the UAE has introduced one-year humanitarian visas and residence permits for widows or divorcees living outside the country. Both types of visas may be extended with the necessary approvals.
Residents will now be able to sponsor visas for friends or relatives, provided they meet the income requirements. Business exploration visas will be available to individuals who can demonstrate financial stability to set up a company, own a share in an existing business abroad, or provide proof of professional practice.
The newly introduced truck driver visa will also require a local sponsor along with health and financial guarantees, according to the ICP.
These new visa options are part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled professionals, support humanitarian initiatives, and strengthen its global workforce.
