A high-level diplomatic conversation took place between United Arab Emirates and Indonesia as their leaders discussed regional tensions and future cooperation.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, where both leaders exchanged views on the evolving security situation in the region and its global implications.
During the conversation, both sides addressed the impact of ongoing military escalation, including attacks targeting civilians and critical infrastructure. These actions were strongly condemned as violations of sovereignty and international law.
The Indonesian President reaffirmed his country’s support for the UAE, expressing solidarity and backing all necessary measures taken to ensure national security and protect residents. He also praised the UAE’s handling of the situation, highlighting its effective response in maintaining stability and safety.
Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic efforts. They stressed that peaceful solutions are essential to maintaining regional and international stability.
In addition to security concerns, the discussion also focused on strengthening bilateral relations. Both countries reiterated their commitment to enhancing cooperation under their Comprehensive Economic Partnership, aiming to boost trade, investment, and development opportunities.
