The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Foreign Affairs inaugurated its first consular consultations with France in Paris. The UAE delegation was spearheaded by His Excellency Faisal Eissa Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs. The French counterpart was led by Ms. Pauline Carmona, Director for French Nationals Abroad and Consular Administration.

At the start of the consultations, H.E. Faisal Eissa Lutfi conveyed warm regards from H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, wishing success for the meeting.

He emphasized the historic friendship and strategic partnership between the UAE and France, underscoring their mutual commitment to fostering cooperation across various sectors for the benefit of their citizens.

Emphasis on Modernizing Consular Services

Lutfi thanked the French government for facilitating this initial round of consultations, stating that this dialogue embodies both nations' dedication to advancing proactive and citizen-oriented consular services.

He mentioned that the two countries aim to integrate advanced technologies to address evolving citizen needs and boost the effectiveness of their consular offerings.

During these consultations, officials engaged in discussions to broaden their cooperation and share expertise in vital areas.
