Large-scale celebrations are taking place across Turkmenistan’s Balkan velayat as the country marks Constitution Day and National Flag Day with cultural events, concerts, and patriotic gatherings.
The celebrations are being held during the national year titled “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” which also coincides with preparations for the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
The main center of festivities in Balkanabat city was the Main Flag Square, where musical and cultural performances attracted students, youth activists, artists, and members of public organizations from across the region.
The event was jointly organized by the Balkan velayat council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, cultural departments, the Women’s Union, and other social organizations.
Speakers during the celebrations highlighted Turkmenistan’s growing international reputation and praised the leadership of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for supporting national development and youth programs.
Students and youth participants expressed gratitude for the educational opportunities and social support provided to the younger generation. Officials said the celebrations were aimed at strengthening patriotism and national pride among young citizens.
The festive atmosphere included performances by singers, theater groups, folklore ensembles, and dancers who showcased Turkmen culture, traditions, and national values through music and artistic presentations.
According to organizers, conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and competitions dedicated to Constitution Day and National Flag Day are continuing throughout the Balkan region. Authorities stated that these events help promote peace, friendship, cultural identity, and loyalty to the nation’s values among the public.
