Turkmenistan Joins Antalya Diplomatic Forum

Post by : Shakul

A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, participated in the Fifth Antalya Diplomatic Forum held in Antalya, Turkey. The high-level event brought together global leaders and policymakers to discuss pressing international issues.

The forum, held under the theme “Planning for the Future, Managing Uncertainty,” featured multiple sessions focusing on global cooperation, sustainable development, and regional security. Participants exchanged views on strategies to address current geopolitical and economic challenges.

During his address, Meredov highlighted Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening regional stability and enhancing cooperation among Central Asian nations. He emphasized the importance of cross-border infrastructure development and expanding international partnerships.

Energy security was a major focus of the discussion, with Turkmenistan outlining its efforts to diversify energy supply routes. Projects such as the TAPI gas pipeline were highlighted as key initiatives to boost regional connectivity and energy cooperation.

The minister also stressed the importance of transport and logistics development, noting that Central Asia plays a crucial role as a bridge between Asia and Europe. Strengthening these corridors is seen as vital for improving trade and economic integration.

Turkmenistan’s initiatives within the United Nations were also discussed, particularly its role in promoting energy sustainability. The country has supported several UN resolutions aimed at enhancing global energy security.

The forum provided a platform for Turkmenistan to reaffirm its commitment to balanced and mutually beneficial international cooperation. Officials emphasized that collaboration among regional countries is essential for ensuring long-term stability, economic growth, and sustainable development.
