Turkmen China Forum Boosts Trade Cooperation

Turkmen China Forum Boosts Trade Cooperation

Post by : Shakul

A major business forum and exhibition aimed at strengthening economic ties between Turkmenistan and China has officially opened in Ashgabat. The event brings together government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both countries to explore new opportunities for cooperation.

In a message to participants, Turkmenistan’s leadership highlighted the importance of the forum in deepening friendly relations and expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic partnerships. The event is expected to play a key role in strengthening long-term cooperation between the two nations.

Officials emphasized that relations between Turkmenistan and China have a long historical foundation, dating back to the ancient Silk Road. This historic connection continues to influence modern cooperation, especially as both countries work together to revive and expand trade routes and economic exchanges.

China remains one of Turkmenistan’s largest trade and economic partners, with strong cooperation in sectors such as oil and gas, transport, logistics, telecommunications, and digital technologies. The forum provides a platform to further enhance these partnerships and explore new areas of collaboration.

Special focus has been placed on aligning development strategies such as the revival of the Great Silk Road and China’s Belt and Road Initiative. This alignment is expected to boost economic growth and improve connectivity between the two countries and the wider region.

The forum also highlights the role of major Chinese companies operating in Turkmenistan, working alongside local enterprises to develop key industries. Bilateral committees and cooperation mechanisms are helping create favorable conditions for business expansion and investment.

Leaders expressed confidence that the forum will unlock new opportunities in science, technology, and innovation. The event is seen as a significant step toward strengthening economic cooperation and building stronger ties between the people of Turkmenistan and China.
