According to an NBC News poll, President Donald Trump’s approval rating has plummeted to its lowest since he commenced his current term in January 2025.
Conducted from March 30 to April 13, the survey indicates that 63% of adults disapprove of Trump’s performance, leaving only 37% in approval. This represents a historical low for him, as reported by NBC since his inauguration. The poll captured views from 32,433 adults nationwide, with a margin of error at ±1.8 percentage points.
The downturn in approval ratings is primarily fueled by increasing public discontent regarding the economy and escalating concerns related to the ongoing US engagement in the Iran conflict. Numerous voters have voiced apprehension over mounting economic challenges and the repercussions of foreign policy choices.
This significant decline may pose obstacles for Republicans as they gear up for the forthcoming midterm elections, where voter sentiments will heavily influence political dynamics.
