Vietnam Plans Global Tourism Hub at Trang An

Vietnam Plans Global Tourism Hub at Trang An

Post by : Shakul

Vietnam has approved an ambitious plan to transform the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex into a leading international tourism destination while preserving its unique cultural and natural heritage. The decision was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra as part of a broader strategy to promote sustainable tourism development.

The plan covers the entire Trang An Tam Coc Bich Dong scenic area in Ninh Binh, spanning more than 9,600 hectares. Authorities aim to protect the site’s outstanding universal value while enhancing its appeal to both domestic and international visitors. The project is expected to play a key role in boosting tourism in the Northern Delta region.

Officials emphasized that conservation remains the top priority, with strict measures to protect landscapes, ecosystems, and historical relics. The plan ensures that development activities are carefully managed to maintain the integrity of the heritage site while supporting long term sustainability.

The government also intends to strengthen infrastructure and organize spatial planning to improve visitor experience. This includes defining protected zones, managing land use, and developing technical systems that support tourism without harming the environment.

Cultural preservation is another important aspect of the plan, with a focus on maintaining traditional craft villages and local festivals. Authorities aim to integrate these cultural elements into tourism experiences, allowing visitors to engage with the region’s history and traditions.

New tourism products will be developed to diversify visitor experiences, including ecotourism, cultural and religious tourism, adventure activities, and agricultural tourism. These initiatives are designed to attract a wider range of tourists and create new economic opportunities for local communities.

The plan also promotes modern tourism trends such as digital experiences and smart tourism solutions, ensuring that the destination remains competitive in the global tourism market. At the same time, strict regulations will be enforced to control visitor capacity and protect the natural environment.

Overall, the initiative reflects Vietnam’s commitment to balancing heritage conservation with economic development, positioning Trang An as a world class destination that combines natural beauty, cultural richness, and sustainable tourism practices.
