SUBCON Thailand 2026 Boosts Global Trade

SUBCON Thailand 2026 Boosts Global Trade

Post by : Shakul

The Board of Investment (BOI) of Thailand is preparing to organize SUBCON Thailand 2026, the largest industrial parts exhibition in the ASEAN region, from May 13 to May 16, 2026, at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. The event is being held in collaboration with the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association and Informa Markets. The exhibition aims to strengthen Thailand’s position in global industrial supply chains and create major business opportunities for Thai manufacturers and international buyers.

This year marks the 20th edition of SUBCON Thailand, which will be organized under the theme “Sourcing Innovation Shaping Tomorrow.” The exhibition is expected to become one of the most important industrial business platforms in Southeast Asia. According to the BOI, the event will help connect Thai companies with leading global industries and encourage long-term partnerships in automotive, electronics, robotics, aerospace, medical devices, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Mr. Narut Teodsathirasak, Secretary-General of the Board of Investment, stated that the event will feature participation from 239 industrial parts manufacturers from several countries around the world. Out of these, 154 companies are domestic Thai manufacturers. He explained that the exhibition is designed to improve the capabilities of Thai businesses and strengthen industrial supply chains across ASEAN. Thailand is also working toward becoming the regional hub for industrial parts sourcing and subcontracting services.

The exhibition is expected to attract more than 90 domestic and international buyers from 14 countries, including Japan, South Korea, India, France, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam. Organizers are targeting more than 9,000 business matching sessions during the four-day event. Officials believe these business discussions could generate future automotive parts transactions worth more than 20 billion baht, making it one of the largest industrial trade opportunities in the region this year.

A major attraction at SUBCON Thailand 2026 will be the Innovation Showcase, where companies and organizations will present advanced manufacturing technologies and modern industrial solutions. The showcase will focus on Smart and Green Technology concepts aimed at improving industrial efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Visitors will be able to explore the latest developments in energy management systems, industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and digital technologies.

One of the highlighted technologies at the exhibition will be the Smart Energy Management Platform developed by PTT Digital. The platform combines IoT systems, artificial intelligence, and energy analytics to improve energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions in factories and industrial facilities. The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) will also present sensor technologies that can collect industrial data accurately and support automated production systems in modern factories.

In addition to the exhibition, the BOI will organize 17 special seminars for Thai entrepreneurs and industry professionals. These seminars will discuss investment opportunities, new target industries, overseas business expansion, funding access in the digital economy, and updated investment promotion policies. The seminars are expected to provide important insights for companies preparing to compete in the rapidly changing global manufacturing sector.

One of the key highlights of the event will be the BOI Symposium 2026 under the theme “Thailand Driving Toward Smart and Green Mobility.” The symposium will focus on the future of Thailand’s automotive industry and the transition toward electric vehicles and sustainable transportation systems. Mr. Narut Teodsathirasak will deliver a special lecture on policies supporting smart mobility, while Mr. Zhang Yongwei, President of China EV100, will give a guiding speech on the future direction of global electric vehicle development and policy trends.

Industry leaders from organizations including EVAT, BYD, Isuzu, Bosch, Autoliv, and Bulletrux will also participate in panel discussions to exchange ideas about technology innovation, supply chain development, and Thailand’s role in the regional automotive industry. The BOI believes SUBCON Thailand 2026 will play an important role in helping Thai manufacturers connect with global companies and become part of the future international industrial supply chain.
