Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with Fredrik Florén to explore the enhancement of collaborative efforts between Dubai and Sweden in areas such as culture, innovation, education, design, and music.
During their conversation, Sheikha Latifa emphasized the strong, evolving relationship between the UAE and Sweden. She commended Sweden for its backing of artistic and cultural sectors, noting that both nations possess a shared vision aimed at nurturing the creative economy and fostering innovation through cultural initiatives.
Highlighting the significance of culture in promoting dialogue and forging meaningful connections, Sheikha Latifa remarked that the cooperation between the UAE and Sweden represents a mutual commitment to enhancing creative sectors, facilitating knowledge exchange, and engendering fresh ideas.
She pointed out that Dubai is continually bolstering its cultural ecosystem by forming international partnerships that yield new opportunities for artists and creative professionals, stimulate collaboration across diverse sectors, and sustain future-oriented creative industries.
The cultural directives in Dubai are informed by the visionary outlook of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, under which the city is recognized as a global center for creativity and culture, committed to nurturing talent and fostering cultural exchanges.
The meeting included Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Saeed Al Eter, alongside other officials.
Ambassador Fredrik Florén acknowledged the strong bilateral ties and underscored the essential role of ongoing cultural dialogue and collaboration in furthering creativity and innovation. He also highlighted Dubai’s swiftly evolving cultural scene and its capacity to attract global talent, enhancing its status as a prominent cultural hub.
