Sheikh Khaled Leads UAE Delegation to APEC Forum in South Korea

Sheikh Khaled Leads UAE Delegation to APEC Forum in South Korea

Post by : Rameen Ariff

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, arrived in South Korea on Thursday to lead the UAE delegation at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum. He represents UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the high-level regional meeting.

The UAE’s participation follows an invitation from South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthen economic cooperation among APEC economies. Sheikh Khaled’s delegation will explore opportunities to expand strategic partnerships across key sectors, ranging from trade and investment to technology and sustainability initiatives.

Established in 1989, the APEC Forum brings together leaders and heads of government from 21 member economies. It serves as a critical platform to advance regional economic integration, promote free trade, encourage investment, and address pressing global economic challenges.

APEC members collectively account for roughly 40 percent of the world’s population and nearly 60 percent of global GDP, underscoring the forum’s significance in shaping economic policies and fostering sustainable growth. Sheikh Khaled’s engagement highlights the UAE’s proactive role in global economic discussions, positioning the country as a key partner in regional and international economic collaboration.

Through his participation, Sheikh Khaled is expected to strengthen ties between the UAE and other member economies, opening new avenues for collaboration in trade, investment, technology, and sustainable development.
