His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, visited Dubai Health’s headquarters to emphasize the emirate’s unwavering commitment to enhancing high-quality, future-oriented healthcare.
Accompanied by notable figures including Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan received updates on various public health initiatives that blend patient care, education, research, and community services into a cohesive academic health structure. These initiatives are designed to bolster healthcare outcomes and establish Dubai as a premier destination for medical innovation.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the health of the community is crucial for Dubai’s sustainable growth, asserting that Dubai Health mirrors the leadership's vision under the Dubai Social Agenda 33. He acknowledged the importance of delivering cutting-edge, science-driven healthcare services that meet and exceed global standards for both preventive and curative care.
Praising the dedication of the Dubai Health workforce, Sheikh Hamdan underlined their vital role in fostering patient trust and enhancing community quality of life. He reiterated Dubai’s goal for Dubai Health to become a leading global academic health institution, propelled by innovation and a patient-first mentality.
During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan toured the Health Operations Centre, reviewing various community-focused and digital health programs aimed at increasing accessibility and efficiency. He was also briefed about the Reaya Initiative, which provides specialized healthcare services catering to senior citizens and individuals of determination.
Further, officials shared updates on the Patient Journey Redesign Programme, aimed at simplifying healthcare access while improving service quality and broadening home-based care and telehealth options to better accommodate patients throughout Dubai.
This visit reaffirmed Dubai’s ongoing dedication to developing a robust, inclusive, and innovative healthcare system that aligns with global best practices.
