Shefali Shah Expresses Gratitude as Delhi Crime Season 3 Captivates Audiences on Netflix

Shefali Shah Expresses Gratitude as Delhi Crime Season 3 Captivates Audiences on Netflix

Post by : Meena Ariff

In the much-anticipated Season 3 of Delhi Crime, Shefali Shah reprises her role as the determined DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, now facing off with Huma Qureshi's character, Badi Didi. The series has garnered enthusiastic reviews, prompting Shah to express her heartfelt appreciation for the audience's support.

The acclaimed series, available on Netflix, showcases Shah in a pivotal role.

In her Instagram message, Shah admitted, “I was terrified is the understatement of the century before Delhi Crime 3 dropped. I portrayed a different aspect of Vartika this time, channeling her pain and anger into efforts to find the girls. This season, it was about perseverance, ensuring protection, and seeking justice without bravado.”

She further stated, “I wasn’t sure if viewers would connect with this side of Vartika, devoid of her usual bravado. However, after reading the reviews, I felt immense relief and joy. The love you showed demonstrated that you not only observed her journey but lived it alongside us.”

Shah concluded with, “You all indicated two important things. First, we often underestimate the intelligence and sensitivity of our audience. And second, I am genuinely fortunate to be so loved. Thank you all; it's truly overwhelming to feel your love and blessings.”

Critics have lauded Shah's performance, stating, “Shefali Shah is exceptional once again. Few actors immerse themselves in a character with such ease, making disbelief vanish. Although the show has some issues with her character’s depth, she convincingly displays vulnerability.”

Delhi Crime 3, produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, is directed by Tanuj Chopra and features a talented cast, including Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji. It premiered on Netflix on November 13.
