In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the second edition of the Fazza Falcons Racing Cup (Telwah) is scheduled to commence on January 12 at the Lahbab Track, situated within the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center, Dubai.
This championship will feature a 400-meter race, building on the success of its inaugural edition last year that witnessed impressive participation and high levels of skill from professional falconers.
The Fazza Falcons Racing Cup was initiated to honor the ongoing commitment to falconry racing by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, as well as the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. The event emphasizes the excellence of top falconers while providing a competitive environment with prized rewards.
Competitions for the Public Category (Owners – Open) will occur on January 12, with Sheikh Category races following on January 17, encompassing six rounds.
Falcons in the Farkh category, including Jeer Shaheen, Jeer Tibah, Pure Jeer, and Qarmousha, that secure top placements in the Symbol and Golden Burqa rounds, as well as the premier spots in the Cash rounds of the Fazza Championship for Falconry – Telwah, will earn their places in the Fazza Falcons Racing Cup.
The championship boasts a total prize pool of AED 2.8 million. Furthermore, the three top-performing falcons from the Farkh category in the Fazza Falcons Racing Cup will qualify for the concluding stages of the Mohammed bin Rashid Falcons Cup.
His Excellency Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary General of both the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing and the UAE Falcons Federation, mentioned that the championship has established a commendable reputation based on the UAE’s rich traditions and heritage. He highlighted the significant audience and active support from UAE leadership during the inaugural event, showing their deep-rooted connection with falconers and the enduring backing for falconry as an essential national sport.
Bin Markhan also assured that all regulations, conditions, and updates for the championship have been promptly shared through the official social media channels of the UAE Falcons Federation, guaranteeing transparency and up-to-date information for all participants and stakeholders.
