Saudi Arabia Launches Unified Visa Helpline

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has introduced a unified helpline number, 992, to assist visitors and expatriates with inquiries related to expired visas, particularly for those who were unable to exit the country due to ongoing regional disruptions.

The helpline serves as a central support point for people seeking clarification on visa status, relief options, extensions, and exit procedures as an official relief window deadline of April 18, 2026 approaches. This window was set to allow visitors with expired visas to regularize their stay or exit without facing fines or penalties.

Authorities have urged affected travellers to use the 992 helpline to receive personalised guidance on how to handle their situation, whether that means applying for visa extensions through official channels or understanding flexible exit options. It is part of broader efforts to streamline support and address confusion among those stranded amid regional travel disruptions.
