A powerful celebration of courage, cultural identity, and hope took place as the photo exhibition "Roots – Spiritual Power in the Heritage of Ancestors" officially opened with the participation of Asel Chynbaeva, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Rights of the Child.
The exhibition, organized by the public charity foundation Help the Children-SKD, showcases the stories of children who have overcome serious illnesses. Through artistic photography inspired by the traditional cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people, the project presents powerful narratives of determination, resilience, and the desire to move forward despite significant challenges.
The exhibition aims to draw public attention to children who require special care and support while highlighting the strength and potential that can emerge even in difficult circumstances. Each photograph reflects a unique personal journey and demonstrates how cultural identity can serve as a source of inspiration and emotional healing.
During the opening ceremony, Asel Chynbaeva emphasized the importance of social and cultural initiatives that contribute to the psychological rehabilitation and emotional well-being of children. She noted that projects like this help young participants build self-confidence, develop a sense of belonging, and discover new opportunities for personal growth.
Chynbaeva also stressed that maintaining a connection with national traditions and cultural values can play a meaningful role in a child's recovery and development. According to her, cultural projects not only preserve heritage but also create supportive environments where children feel understood, respected, and encouraged.
In recognition of the foundation’s efforts and the achievements of the young participants, the Children's Ombudsman presented a certificate for the purchase of books for children under the foundation’s care. The gesture was intended to support their education and personal development while encouraging them to continue pursuing their dreams and ambitions.
The "Roots – Spiritual Power in the Heritage of Ancestors" exhibition stands as a reminder of the resilience of children facing health challenges and the importance of community support. Organizers hope the project will inspire greater awareness, compassion, and involvement in initiatives that improve the lives of vulnerable children across Kyrgyzstan.
