On a grand occasion at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai (RIT Dubai) celebrated the graduation of its 15th cohort under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ).

This impressive ceremony honored 394 graduates across 16 undergraduate and master's programs.

Among the attendees were notable figures such as Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Essa Kazim, US Consul General Robert Raines, and Dr. Yousef Al Assaf.

Sheikh Ahmed highlighted how this graduation demonstrates Dubai's dedication to nurturing future-ready talent that can drive innovation and bolster a knowledge-based economy. He emphasized the role of education in enhancing Dubai’s global standing as part of the UAE Centennial 2071 and the “We the UAE 2031” vision.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni pointed out the collaboration between DIEZ and RIT Dubai as vital for cultivating an ecosystem prioritizing innovation, technology, and sustainable growth, preparing professionals for future-centric industries in alignment with Dubai’s digital transformation initiatives.

President of RIT Dubai, Dr. Yousef Al Assaf, noted the university's ongoing efforts to adapt its academic programs to the evolving global job landscape. This year marks the introduction of the first batch of Psychology graduates, alongside advancements in research focused on sustainability, smart cities, and future studies.

The graduating class comprised students from nine bachelor’s degree programs, including engineering, marketing, finance, cybersecurity, and psychology.

Additionally, graduates from seven master's programs celebrated their achievements, covering fields like data analytics, cybersecurity, and smart cities.

Since its inception in 2010, RIT Dubai has proudly graduated over 2,490 students, reinforcing its reputation within the region's educational and innovation landscape.

This year also saw the launch of new undergraduate programs in Management Information Systems and Advertising & Public Relations, as well as micro-master’s options in Health Informatics and Futures Foresight, catering to flexible educational pathways.

RIT Dubai introduced a dual-degree engineering program, enabling students to earn both bachelor’s and master’s degrees efficiently and economically.

Future aspirations include a master’s in Integrated Design, a bachelor’s course in Computer Engineering, and specialized programs targeting People of Determination.

As a branch of the Rochester Institute of Technology, RIT Dubai continues to enhance its role as a hub for innovation and advanced education in the UAE through its specialized programs and partnerships with government and private sectors.
