In a remarkable display of skill, Kazakh cyclist Rinata Sultanova seized victory in the second and final stage of the Grand Prix Fergana Ladies.
Riding for the Kazakhstan National Team, the UAE Team ADQ athlete demonstrated resilience after finishing fourth in the initial stage. During the 91-kilometre race in Fergana, she executed a bold solo attack.
Sultanova crossed the finish line a notable 29 seconds ahead of her nearest rivals. Haixin Dong from China's XDS China Women Team took second place, followed closely by Ayustina Delia Priatna from Indonesia and Yanina Kuskova of Uzbekistan's Queen Sport.
Her solid performances in both stages placed Sultanova second overall in the event. She concluded the race 1 minute and 7 seconds behind overall champion Hao Zhang from China.
As an established Asian individual time trial champion, Sultanova's achievement here reinforces her status as a formidable contender in the Asian cycling community.
