Dubai Airshow 2025 has reached an extraordinary milestone in the world of aviation, wrapping up with agreements surpassing USD 202 billion—this figure doubles the USD 101 billion recorded in 2023. This achievement solidifies Dubai's status as a pivotal aviation hub, steering the trajectory of both aviation and space technology.
Over the course of five days, the 19th edition of the Airshow welcomed an astounding 248,788 attendees. This included industry professionals, decision-makers, and leaders from around the globe, making it one of the most frequented events in its history.
This year featured over 1,500 exhibitors, with 440 of them participating for the first time. The event gathered 490 delegations from military and civilian sectors, representing a total of 115 nations. The venue showcased 21 national pavilions, 98 chalets, an expanded display area of 8,000 square metres, along with 120 startups and 50 investors presenting innovative concepts.
A major highlight was Emirates announcing a significant order for aircraft valued at USD 41.4 billion. The airline confirmed the addition of 65 Boeing 777-9s and eight Airbus A350-900 jets, raising its overall wide-body order total to 375 aircraft set for delivery by 2038.
flydubai made headlines as well, signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Boeing for 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft valued at USD 13 billion. This move aligns with Dubai's broader initiative to sustain growth in the aviation sector in the coming years.
This year's focus was also heavily tilted towards space technologies. The event featured its largest-ever Space Pavilion, organized with the UAE Space Agency, and included a two-day Space Conference that brought together over 50 astronauts and space experts to delve into commercialization, collaboration, and the future of global space exploration.
Sustainability was central to the Airshow’s agenda. Aircraft participated using sustainable aviation fuel, and all exhibition spaces operated entirely on renewable energy. Furthermore, operations on the ground utilized electric and propane-powered vehicles in partnership with Jetex, reinforcing Dubai's ongoing commitment to sustainable aviation.
Team Dubai's government entities ensured effective operations and smooth visitor movement, showcasing exceptional planning and coordination across the venue.
Under the theme “The Future is Here,” the 19th edition highlighted cutting-edge aviation and defense technologies while underscoring Dubai's influential role in global aerospace innovation. The excitement and energy generated ensure that anticipation for the next edition in November 2027 is already building.
