Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation has opened registration for its Rayaat Scholarship Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year. The application window will remain open for ten days, from March 29 to April 7, giving eligible students the opportunity to apply for higher education support.
The scholarship programme aims to promote academic excellence and support talented students in pursuing undergraduate studies. This year, scholarships are offered in partnership with several institutions, including the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic. Additional opportunities are available at private and international universities operating in Bahrain under special patronage programmes.
The initiative also includes medical scholarships through the Her Highness Shaikha Moza Bint Hamad Al Khalifa Fund, providing eligible students the chance to study at a specialised medical institution in Bahrain. Applicants to private universities are required to submit an official acceptance letter as part of their application.
The Chairperson of the Foundation, HH Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, highlighted that growing interest in higher education among Bahraini youth reflects a strong awareness of education’s role in personal growth and national development. She noted that graduates of the programme have gone on to succeed in both public and private sectors, contributing positively to the country.
Selection for the Rayaat Scholarship will be based on academic performance and a structured evaluation process. This includes a written examination, a personal interview, and assessment of extracurricular achievements such as volunteer work and community service.
Launched in 2011, the Rayaat Scholarship Programme has awarded hundreds of scholarships and continues to support students through financial aid, professional training, and skill-development workshops. The programme focuses on building confident, responsible individuals prepared to meet future academic and professional challenges.
The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to investing in education and nurturing future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to Bahrain’s development and long-term progress.
