On Friday, Qatar's official Hajj team set off for Saudi Arabia, marking the start of preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage season, as announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The ministry highlighted that prior support teams had arrived in the Kingdom to finalize ground preparations, ensuring all arrangements for Qatari pilgrims are in place.
Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri, who serves as the Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs and is also the Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission, noted that the mission will operate from its headquarters located in the Al Naseem district of Makkah. This setup will allow officials to liaise with Qatari Hajj campaigns and Saudi authorities, aiming for smooth operations for the pilgrims.
He elaborated that various specialized teams will collaborate during the Hajj season, encompassing areas such as religious guidance, medical aid, logistics, inspections, communications, and technical support, ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims.
The ministry stated that the primary objective of this mission is to ensure that Qatari pilgrims can perform their Hajj safely and comfortably. This initiative aligns with the ministry's 2025–2030 strategy, which aims to enhance Hajj and Umrah services, ultimately improving the overall pilgrimage experience for Qatari citizens and residents.
