The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has conducted a specialized training workshop in collaboration with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation.
Spanning four days, the virtual course centered on laboratory auditing requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, a standard broadly acknowledged for testing and calibration labs.
Twenty-two staff members from various technical sectors of the Ministry participated, including those from the Monitoring and Inspection Department, the Radiation Protection Department, and a representative from the Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs' office.
The primary goal of this training was to enhance participants' capabilities in auditing environmental labs in accordance with global quality benchmarks. Additionally, it emphasized real-world applications in air quality checks, radiation safety, and environmental assessments, ensuring dependable and precise testing outcomes.
This initiative underscores the Ministry's dedication to fostering national expertise, enhancing quality and calibration processes, and promoting sustainable development efforts that align with Qatar National Vision 2030.
