His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently had a telephone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister.
During their discussion, both leaders emphasized bilateral ties and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation between Qatar and Russia. They also shared insights on the latest developments in the region, particularly regarding the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
Both leaders underscored the critical need for ongoing efforts to alleviate tensions and promote stability across the region. Sheikh Mohammed noted that it is imperative for all parties to engage positively in mediation efforts currently underway.
He further highlighted the importance of addressing the underlying causes of the crisis through constructive dialogue and peaceful approaches. Both leaders called for establishing a robust agreement to avert any future conflicts and sustain long-term security in the region.
