Poetry Activation Unveiled at Zayed Museum by Experience Abu Dhabi

Poetry Activation Unveiled at Zayed Museum by Experience Abu Dhabi

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Experience Abu Dhabi is set to unveil an exciting poetry activation at the Zayed National Museum on Thursday, May 28. This initiative offers a unique cultural journey in both Arabic and English for all visitors.

Participants will engage in personal, one-to-one discussions with poets, who will draw inspiration from these intimate exchanges to craft original poems reflecting the essence of the city, its inhabitants, and their experiences. This initiative aims to transform personal memories and emotions into profound poetic works.

Open to everyone—UAE nationals, residents, and tourists alike—this program emphasizes the significance of every voice and narrative, showcasing how they can blossom into poetry.

This initiative forms part of the museum's special The Joy of Eid program, taking place from May 27 to 31. The five-day festival celebrates Eid with storytelling, music, poetry, hospitality, and craftsmanship, providing immersive experiences across the museum's public spaces.

Nassra Al Buainain, Director of Learning & Public Engagement at Zayed National Museum, emphasized poetry's vital role in the UAE’s cultural heritage.

She remarked that Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan regarded poetry as a pivotal aspect of leadership and national identity. By gathering people to share their reflections in a museum setting, this initiative honors his legacy and the lasting poetic spirit of the UAE.
