PIE Industrial Bhd has appointed Che Kian Yeap as its new Managing Director, following the retirement of long-serving leader Mui Chung Meng.
The announcement was made through filings with Bursa Malaysia, confirming a leadership transition after nearly 26 years of service by Mui, who has been a key figure in the company’s growth since 2000.
Che Kian Yeap, aged 50, brings over 25 years of experience spanning the electronics and healthcare software sectors. He has worked with major international clients, including leading electronics firms in Taiwan, and has successfully built high-margin partnerships during his career.
His professional background also includes global exposure, having contributed to the deployment of healthcare software solutions across markets such as the United States, Japan, China, and Thailand. Industry observers believe his diverse experience could support PIE Industrial’s expansion and innovation strategy.
Alongside this transition, executive director Lan Kuo-Yi has also stepped down to pursue personal interests. The company clarified that both departures were amicable and not due to any internal disagreements.
The leadership change marks a new phase for PIE Industrial as it aims to strengthen its position in the competitive electronics manufacturing sector while exploring new growth opportunities under fresh management.
