Pakistan Claims Solid Proof of Afghanistan’s Role in Terror Activities

Pakistan Claims Solid Proof of Afghanistan’s Role in Terror Activities

Post by : Shakul

Pakistan has claimed that it has solid and credible proof showing that terrorist activities targeting the country are being planned and supported from across the border in Afghanistan. According to officials quoted by Geo News, Islamabad believes militant groups are using Afghan soil to carry out attacks on Pakistani security forces and civilians.

The focus of Pakistan’s allegations is the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Pakistani authorities say intelligence reports and security assessments indicate that TTP fighters operate from hideouts inside Afghanistan, from where they plan and direct attacks inside Pakistan. Officials claim this evidence has been shared with Afghan authorities multiple times.

Pakistan argues that despite repeated warnings and diplomatic engagement, effective action has not been taken to stop these groups. Recent deadly attacks on Pakistani security personnel have intensified these claims, prompting stronger language from Islamabad and renewed calls for Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used for terrorism.

On the other hand, the Afghan Taliban government has firmly rejected Pakistan’s allegations. Afghan officials state that their country is not responsible for Pakistan’s internal security issues and deny providing any support or safe haven to militant groups. They insist Afghanistan will not allow its soil to be used against any neighboring country.

The situation has further strained already tense relations between the two neighbors. Analysts say that without transparent, verifiable evidence made public and sustained diplomatic dialogue, accusations and denials are likely to continue, increasing regional instability and security concerns on both sides of the border.
