OnePlus is gearing up to unveil a new series of smartphones dubbed Turbo, expected to debut as early as January 2026. This line is targeted at performance enthusiasts who highly value battery longevity. The Turbo phones are intended to deliver top-tier processing power alongside extended usage times without frequent recharging.
Rumors indicate that the initial Turbo model might come equipped with a colossal 9,000mAh battery—a remarkable first for the OnePlus and Oppo family. It’s likely that this battery will utilize a dual-cell architecture to enhance charging efficiency and manage heat while maintaining exceptional performance. Besides the impressive battery, the device should feature a robust chipset and a high-refresh-rate OLED display, possibly sized around 6.78 inches with a refresh rate reaching up to 165Hz, thus appealing to gamers and power users alike.
While the choice of processor remains undetermined, some sources point to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while others suggest the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 for at least one variant, informally referred to as the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo. Nevertheless, OnePlus has officially confirmed the series, vowing exceptional performance and the longest battery life in its category.
The Turbo line may emphasize gaming capabilities, featuring improved cooling systems, enhanced haptic feedback, and potential accessories, although these elements are yet to be officially detailed. When compared to the flagship OnePlus 15, the Turbo models could provide similar elite performance but with greater battery capacity and possibly refined cooling or endurance optimizations.
Pricing information is not yet disclosed; however, the series is anticipated to fall within the premium segment, akin to other high-end OnePlus offerings. The initial launch is likely to occur in China in early 2026, with anticipated subsequent releases in India and other territories. If the rumors hold true, the OnePlus Turbo series may emerge as the brand's most aggressive and performance-centric smartphones to date.
