Etihad Airways has teamed up with Tunisair through a new codeshare agreement designed to boost air connectivity between Abu Dhabi and North Africa, addressing the rising travel demand in these regions.
Travelers now have the convenience to book flights from Abu Dhabi to Tunis utilizing either airline’s code on Etihad-operated services. This partnership enables a smooth travel experience with a single ticket, streamlined check-in, and hassle-free baggage handling to the final destination.
The collaboration covers three weekly flights on the Abu Dhabi–Tunis route, commencing operations on November 1, 2025, featuring the Airbus A321LR equipped with First, Business, and Economy class cabins.
Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves expressed that this agreement significantly improves access for North African travelers to Abu Dhabi, highlighting an increased interest in the emirate for business, tourism, and family visits.
Commenting on the initiative, Tunisair CEO Halima Ibrahim Khouaja noted that this partnership broadens travel horizons by linking Maghreb and African markets with the Gulf region, calling Abu Dhabi a strategic hub for the airline.
Tunisair boasts over 75 years in operation, serving numerous destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. Meanwhile, Etihad operates over 40 global codeshare agreements, providing connections to more than 500 destinations worldwide.
