Milano Cortina 2026 McMorris Chases Fourth Olympic Slopestyle Medal

Post by : Shakul

The men’s snowboard slopestyle final at Milano Cortina 2026 is expected to be highly exciting as Canada’s Mark McMorris looks to win a historic fourth straight Olympic medal in this event.McMorris’ place at the Games was in doubt after he suffered a serious crash during Big Air training earlier. However, he made a strong comeback and finished third in the slopestyle qualification round, earning a spot in the final.

The final will be held at Livigno Snow Park on Wednesday, 18 February. One of the biggest surprises in qualification was 20-year-old Dane Menzies from New Zealand, who finished first and impressed many with his performance.Norway’s two-time world champion Marcus Kleveland will be aiming for his first Olympic medal. Meanwhile, McMorris’ Canadian teammate Cameron Spalding, who won the 2025 Crystal Globe, qualified in fifth position.

China’s Su Yiming, who won a silver medal in slopestyle at the Beijing 2022 Olympics and a bronze medal in Big Air earlier this week, is also a strong contender. Another athlete to watch is PyeongChang 2018 Olympic champion Red Gerard, who comes into the final with good form after winning back-to-back X Games titles, despite qualifying in 11th place. With three final runs and many top riders competing, the men’s snowboard slopestyle final is set to be one of the most thrilling events of the Winter Games.
