Based in Dubai, Legend Holding Group has announced an ambitious AED 500 million expansion in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, aimed at establishing a sprawling one-million-square-foot headquarters and export hub that will strengthen its automotive operations. This major investment marks a significant commitment to expanding the advanced manufacturing and mobility industries in Dubai.
The upcoming facility will act as the centralized location for Legend Motors, focusing on vehicle storage, preparation, and distribution, along with aftersales services for over 100 international markets. The construction will be executed in two stages, with the initial phase set for completion by April 2026, accommodating up to 5,000 vehicles. The second phase will see the expansion of the site into a multi-storey facility, increasing capacity to more than 20,000 vehicles by January 2028, thus enhancing the company's export capabilities.
Designed to create a comprehensive ecosystem, the development will include advanced automated vehicle management systems. Solar energy installations are also planned to lower on-site energy consumption by about 15%, aligning with the emirate's objective of promoting sustainable industrial practices. Additionally, a dedicated motorcycle assembly unit will be set up, targeting an annual output of 10,000 electric and non-electric units for GCC markets.
Upon launch, the new hub is projected to oversee an annual inventory exceeding 120,000 vehicles, significantly energizing one of Jafza’s most dynamic sectors. This expansion is anticipated to create numerous skilled job opportunities across various fields such as engineering, logistics, and operations, thereby enhancing the UAE’s overall industrial talent landscape.
Currently, Jafza houses over 940 automotive companies, leveraging its direct link to Dubai's port and comprehensive logistics infrastructure. Legend Holding Group’s new project will add substantial weight to this automotive cluster at a time when the 22 million square feet Dubai Auto Market is emerging as a leading global automotive trade hub.
This investment further solidifies Dubai's standing as a competitive center for manufacturing and re-export activities, aligning with the region’s ambition to develop a world-class mobility framework that meets global demands and future transport trends.
