The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a collaborative agreement to restore and construct 13 schools in the Lahj and Al-Dhale governorates of Yemen. This agreement was established through a virtual meeting with a local civil society group.
The contract was formalized by KSrelief's Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz.
This initiative will result in the creation of new educational premises and facilities aimed at both primary and secondary levels, targeting primarily rural and hard-to-reach areas. The goal is to enhance educational access in regions where existing infrastructure is either inadequate or damaged.
The comprehensive plan includes the construction of over 45 fully-equipped classrooms, designed to alleviate overcrowding and cater to students in regions impacted by educational disruptions.
An estimated 59,851 individuals, including both male and female students, will benefit from this project, addressing the urgent need for improved educational facilities.
This effort is part of Saudi Arabia's sustained humanitarian initiatives through KSrelief, focusing on educational support in Yemen. To date, the program has significantly contributed to the enhancement of over 1,200 educational facilities nationwide.
