The makers of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, starring popular actor and comedian Kapil Sharma, have announced that the film will be re-released in theatres in January 2026. The decision comes after the movie received positive audience feedback but faced challenges during its initial theatrical run.
Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the comedy film also features Ayesha Khan, Tridha Choudhury, Warina Hussain, and Parul Gulati in important roles. The movie first hit cinema halls on December 12 but struggled to secure sufficient screens due to heavy competition from other major releases occupying multiplexes.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 follows the story of Mohan, played by Kapil Sharma, who wishes to marry his girlfriend Sania. However, family pressure and religious boundaries force him into an unusual situation where he ends up marrying three women — Meera, Ruhi, and Jenny — each belonging to a different religion and identity. The film uses humor to explore social norms, relationships, and confusion arising from multiple marriages.
Despite limited visibility in theatres, audience reactions remained largely positive, especially praising Kapil Sharma’s comic timing and the film’s entertaining storyline. Taking this response into account, producer Ratan Jain has now decided to give the film another chance on the big screen, hoping it will reach a wider audience during its re-release.
The movie is a sequel to the 2015 hit Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which marked Kapil Sharma’s Bollywood debut. The original film was directed by Abbas–Mustan and featured actresses Sai Lokur, Manjari Fadnis, Elli Avram, and Simran Kaur Mundi alongside Sharma. The first installment was well received and went on to become a successful comedy entertainer.
With its upcoming re-release, the makers are confident that Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 will attract more viewers and gain the attention it missed during its initial release.
