The movie opened strongly on May 15 with Rs 15.5 crore on day one. Collections witnessed massive growth during the weekend as the film earned Rs 24.15 crore on day two and Rs 28.35 crore on day three. Even after the weekday drop, the film managed to maintain a stable run at the ticket counters.

Occupancy rates for the Tamil version remained strong throughout the day. Night shows recorded the highest audience turnout with nearly 47 percent occupancy. The Telugu version also showed steady growth, especially during afternoon and evening shows.
Apart from Suriya, the film features Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam and Swasika in important roles. The strong word of mouth and positive audience response continue to drive the film’s successful theatrical run.
