Indian Man Dies Mysteriously at Phuket Music Festival, Cause Unknown

Indian Man Dies Mysteriously at Phuket Music Festival, Cause Unknown

Post by : Meena Ariff

A 28-year-old Indian man has died under mysterious circumstances during a popular music festival in Phuket, Thailand. The incident took place in the early hours of January 18, shocking both local and international festival-goers.

The man, identified as Jain Saksham, had attended the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), a three-day international music festival in Cherng Talay, Phuket. After the event, he went to a nearby parking area and climbed onto a parked pickup truck. Witnesses said he appeared disoriented and agitated, behaving unusually and even damaging several other parked vehicles along Bandon-Choeng Thale Road.

Emergency responders were called and rushed Saksham to Thalang Hospital after his erratic behaviour raised concern. Doctors reported that he was in shock and lost consciousness shortly after admission. Despite their best efforts, he passed away, and the exact cause of death is not yet clear.

Authorities said there were no visible injuries or signs of violence on his body. An autopsy has been ordered at Vachira Phuket Hospital to find out the reason behind his sudden death. Police are also considering other possibilities, including substance use or an underlying health condition.

The Indian embassy is coordinating with local authorities and will notify the family. Once the autopsy is complete, his relatives will be able to collect his body and carry out religious rites.

This incident has left festival attendees and the local community in shock, highlighting the need for safety and caution during large public events.
