India Urges Peace as Iran–Israel Tensions Rise PM Modi Talks to Israel and UAE Leaders

India Urges Peace as Iran–Israel Tensions Rise PM Modi Talks to Israel and UAE Leaders

Post by : Shakul

India has taken swift diplomatic action amid rapidly escalating tensions in West Asia following intensified hostilities between Iran and Israel, coupled with sensational political claims emerging from the United States.

Former US President Donald Trump made a dramatic assertion regarding a joint military operation involving Iran’s leadership. However, no independent or official confirmation has been issued, and global observers continue to treat the claim with caution amid widespread uncertainty.

As tensions surged, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) to assess regional developments and their potential impact on India’s strategic and economic interests.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister Modi held direct telephone conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

According to official statements, PM Modi conveyed India’s deep concern over the deteriorating security situation and emphasized that the protection of civilians must remain the top priority. He urged all sides to avoid further escalation and called for immediate steps toward dialogue and de-escalation.

The Prime Minister later shared details of his discussion with the Israeli leadership on social media, stating that India is closely monitoring the situation and supports efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region.

The Middle East has witnessed widespread unrest following recent military actions, protests, and attacks on diplomatic installations, further raising global alarm. Markets have reacted sharply, with energy prices and essential commodities showing signs of volatility.

India, which maintains strong diplomatic and economic ties with Iran, Israel, and Gulf nations, has reiterated its long-standing position that dialogue and diplomacy are the only sustainable paths forward. Authorities confirmed that the safety of Indian nationals in the region is under constant review.

As the situation remains fluid, New Delhi’s proactive outreach highlights India’s growing role as a stabilizing diplomatic voice amid one of the most serious regional crises in recent years.
