WORLDEF Dubai 2026 Digital Commerce Forum: A Global Gathering

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), the Dubai CommerCity will be the venue for the WORLDEF Dubai 2026, taking place from 12 to 14 February 2026.

As the region’s premier free zone dedicated to the digital commerce sector, this forum represents the second installment of a global initiative aimed at advancing digital and cross-border e-commerce.

Organized in collaboration with WORLDEF, an international platform supporting entities involved in cross-border and digital commerce, the event emphasizes Dubai CommerCity's role as a joint venture between DIEZ and Wasl Properties.

WORLDEF Dubai 2026 aspires to foster new business avenues, enhance partnerships, disseminate knowledge, and spotlight current trends that are influencing the global digital commerce landscape. The forum plays a vital role in promoting sustainable digital trade and expanding access to markets worldwide.

Her Excellency Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity and Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), stated that hosting this forum underscores Dubai CommerCity’s dedication to bolstering the global digital commerce ecosystem and reinforcing Dubai’s status as a premier hub for global trade and digital commerce.

She noted that the increased participation from diverse nations is a testament to the robust investment climate and advanced infrastructure in Dubai. This forum serves as a strategic stage for enterprises to scale globally and forge enduring international partnerships, in line with Dubai’s forward-thinking economic vision.

Omer Nart, CEO of WORLDEF, remarked that the inaugural edition surpassed anticipations with significant engagement and fruitful discussions. He is optimistic that the upcoming edition will feature a comprehensive agenda addressing the diverse needs of digital commerce companies, cross-border trade experts, and digital transformation leaders.

This event aligns seamlessly with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, designed to amplify Dubai’s competitive edge, solidify its role as a global smart trade hub, and enhance cross-border business growth, thereby paving the way for the digital economy’s future.

Following the success of the 2024 edition, which welcomed over 5,000 participants from 40-plus nations, WORLDEF Dubai 2026 anticipates even broader engagement. The forthcoming edition will showcase 200 speakers, over 10,000 attendees from 80 countries, 150 exhibitors, and 120 retail brands.

Focusing on pivotal areas influencing the future of digital commerce—including artificial intelligence, cutting-edge digital technologies, payment solutions, fintech, and logistics—the forum aims to enhance efficiency and growth across the sector.

Targeted markets span the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the UK, India, and Central Asia, with plans to present real-life case studies, investment prospects, and innovative models to facilitate adaptation in the swiftly evolving global digital commerce landscape.

By hosting WORLDEF Dubai 2026, the city reinforces its commitment as a global leader in digital commerce transformation, uniting international markets, expertise, and innovation to guide the future of e-commerce.
